Trying again?
Hi, I started this account when I was 11... and I am now 27. I basically stopped doing art after high school, and have not had much of the art bug since. The Parting Gift deviation I made is one of the last inspired abstract pieces I ever made. I did briefly try to make an art portfolio in college thinking I would transfer from math to possibly an animation school, but was discouraged by my parents and didn't sustain it. Now I'm in graduate school, which was one of the two paths I allowed myself to have (social sciences or going back to art), and I'm generally happy about grad school except for my incompetence. However, I am considering something insane-- building a new art portfolio so that I might become a tattoo apprentice one day. So, 50-100 pieces of art, in color and black and white, in a variety of styles. I never thought I could be a good tattoo artist, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I am more used to smearing my materials around and letting them tell me what to do next

First Year Over
I'm much more relaxed about the future now, I guess. My first year of college went well, although first term was something like hell, and I'm much more settled on what I might want to do.
At this point I am considering double majoring in mathematics and history, or possibly physics and history, if I can stomach physics. As a semi-response to my last journal, Calc II was one of my favorite classes. It really pays to have a good professor. And it's horse shit that most people fail, it's just some myth that floats around. I took cons. culture class last term and it was wonderfully interesting. In the winter I took Figdraw, Quijote, and Calc II.
